Rest

Our wise teachers say: When we become tired, we become cowardly....

It is so easy to loose our elegance and forget our brilliant true nature, and to mess our footing when we reach the edge of exhaustion.....As we get to this serious place, our immune and nervous systems are in danger as well, and our cellular movement either accelerates or slows down, thus altering from the healthy, optimal "dance."

So it is extremely important to know yourself, and to know when to stop, and then do it with determination and truth.

For all of us women who work so hard nurturing and nourishing, for all the men who work so much providing, and protecting, for all of people who work and do not know why they work.....observe your body-mind signs, and when you feel tired, drained, less smart, less happy, not interested in beauty or sensuality, not able to help others - take yourself seriously, and make up your mind to rest.

The art of rest is vast, and delicate. Yet many people, and many families do not understand the need for rest, and sometimes behave with resentment and harshness, thus imposing a sense of guilt.

Please, know yourself, and understand what and why your body-mind can take. You may need a long time off every 3 months, and a safe, healthy rest once a week. So, arrange it, and plan for it well. As everything is in a process of constant change, and if your plans are not holding on together, open yourself up for another way of resting, taking a refuge, and nurturing yourself.

I like to plan my needed rest by deep understanding of what elements I need to replenish in my file, and where geographically I need to be.

If I am in need of the water element, I will look for the best place which would provide me with pure, safe, and unspoiled environment to receive healings. Perhaps Costa Rica, Greece, or Spain.

If I need the wind energy, I would choose the mountains, deeply meditating before and listening to my guidance why and where to be.

If I am of fire element need, I would choose a very hot place and perhaps a desert. I received enormous healings on the deserts of the Middle East.

Choose sacred forests and woods for the wood element. For the element of space, choose the open territory, or a place where you can safely open your mind and heart, thus gaining the internal space.

If you are not able to travel far, because of the economy, or your health, please ask for help your friends and care givers to provide YOU with exactly what you need, in order to balance yourself, and find rest and nourishment.

No need to go on forced holidays that are not "you"; you would not find rest nor peace there.

More importantly, become skillful in creating your balanced life; honoring and trusting when to let go.....rest is REMEDY, please take it seriously to heart.
